NSF S-STEM INSPIRED Scholars at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳Ìý

First-year students at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ who are pursuing science and technology majors may now apply forÌýIN²Ô´Ç±¹²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²ÔÌý´Ú´Ç°ùÌýSTEM Pre-P°ù´Ç´Ú±ð²õ²õ¾±´Ç²Ô²¹±ô²õ:ÌýI»å±ð²Ô³Ù¾±³Ù²â,ÌýResearch, andÌýEDucation (INSPIRED) scholarships. These scholarships, funded from theÌýNational Science Foundation’s Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S-STEM) program, will provide up toÌý$15,000 per yearÌýto first-year students with demonstrated financial need and academic promise to succeed in STEM disciplines at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. Scholarships are renewable for students who continue to meet eligibility requirements.

First-year students enrolling at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in Fall 2024 are eligible to apply.

STEMM Professional Preparation Program

Choose Ohio First

Students from the state of Ohio who are pursuing science and technology majors are eligible to apply forÌý. These awards of $4,095 are funded by a grantÌýfrom the Ohio Department of Higher Education and ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳Ìýthrough our STEMM Professional Preparation Program and may be used inÌýaddition to any other sources of financial aid.

Eligibility for Incoming Freshman:

Applicants must be residents of Ohio; be accepted as an undergraduate student;Ìýhave a current FAFSA on file; and have an interest in any of these majors:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Data Science
  • Mathematics and Computer Science
  • Physics
  • Pre-nursing/Nursing
  • Psychology with a Neuroscience Concentration

Competitive incoming freshmen applicants will have a minimum 3.5 high schoolÌýoverall grade point average.

SANUM Scholars

First-year ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ students pursuing healthcare (medical, dental, pharmacy, etc.) and nursing careers are eligible to apply for the Servant-leaders Aspiring to be NUrses and Medical professionals (SANUM) Scholars award. These $6,122 scholarships are funded by a grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education and ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and may be used in addition to any other sources of financial aid.

To be eligible for this award, students must be residents of Ohio, accepted as an undergraduate student, have a current FAFSA on file, and plan to pursue one of the following majors at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳:

  • Biology
  • Cell and Molecular Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Chemistry: Biochemistry
  • Interdisciplinary Physics
  • Interdisciplinary Physics: Biomedical Physics
  • Nursing
  • Psychology: Neuroscience Concentration

Competitive incoming first-year applicants will have a minimum 3.5 high school overall GPA and a 26 Math ACT score or a 590 Math SAT score
