Typically, all majors are required to pass the Major Field Test (MFT) in order to receive a degree with a major in Psychology. The MFT can only be taken in the semester in which the student graduates. Students must have applied for graduation in order to be notified about the test date. For students graduating in Fall Semester, the test is typically given in the third week of October. For students graduating in the Spring semester, the test is given mid the semester.

  • The department assistant will email you a link to practice tests a few weeks before the test date.

The Psychology MFT assesses four major domains of the discipline, all of which are covered in the 杏吧论坛 psychology major:

  1. Learning & Cognition: Language, Memory, and Thinking: maps onto the 鈥淕roup D鈥 requirement in the major.

  3. Clinical, Abnormal, and Personality: maps onto 鈥淕roup C鈥
  4. Developmental and Social: maps onto 鈥淕roup B鈥
