Clinical and Counseling Psychology

The Clinical and Counseling Psychology concentration, formerly known as the Mental Health Services concentration, provides a foundation for understanding how people handle stress, relate to others, and make life choices. A B.S. degree will lead to jobs as substance abuse counselors, behavior technicians, residential treatment specialists, intake specialists, youth counselors or eating disorders technicians, to name just a few. Graduate degrees and licensure is required for some career options, such as clinical counseling, social work and other related fields.

The Ìýdetails course requirements for the C&C concentration as well as the semesters each course is offered. Students should follow the checklist according to their ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ entry year. The degree plan will ensure students meet all Psychology major, C&C concentration and University core requirements are met for graduation. Minimum of 42 credit hours for Psychology and 120 total credit hours for graduation.

C&C students complete internships at a wide variety of sites, gaining valuable experience and references.
