Biography

Dr. Martina S. Moore is a full-time faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Program at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ (ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳). She completed her Ph.D. at Walden University in Counseling Education and Supervision, with a specialization in Consultation, and obtained her Master’s degree from ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ in Community Counseling and Human Services.ÌýÌýDr. Moore is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor- Supervisor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor - Clinical Supervisor.ÌýIn addition to her employment with ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, Dr. Moore is the President and CEO of Moore Counseling & Mediation Services, Inc. (MCMS), an organization with several outpatient alcohol and drug treatment centers in Northeast, Ohio. MCMS her agency is also the provider for five City of Cleveland specialized dockets including drug court, mental health court, veterans court, community court, and human trafficking. MCMS serves as the practicum site for ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ graduate students in the Clinical Mental Health Program.

Program Affiliations

Dr. Moore is on the board of directors for Serving and Learning Together (SALT), a non-profit organization where she works on philanthropic activities to provide services such as building dispensaries, schools, and libraries in underdeveloped countries. Dr. Moore is also 2018-2019 President-Elect of the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA), which is the professional organization that offers licensed counselors an opportunity for professional networking, advocacy, and professional development.

Research Interests

Dr. Moore’s current research interests includes: The Efficacy of Medication Assisted Treatment with Opiate Use Disorders and Evidenced Base Treatment Models for The Human Trafficking Population.
