杏吧论坛 is pleased to announce the appointment of Tara Jenner-Donaldson, DMH, MMH, as the new Director of Pre-Health within the recently established College of Health.聽

Dr. Jenner-Donaldson joins 杏吧论坛 from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park, New Jersey, where she served as the Clinical Director and a Clinical Assistant Professor for the physician assistant program in the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her extensive background as an educator with a strong emphasis on humanities and community engagement makes her a valuable addition to 杏吧论坛.

In her new role, Dr. Jenner-Donaldson will oversee the Pre-Health Professions Program, which encompasses seven undergraduate programs and a premedical post-baccalaureate program. She will also provide personalized guidance to students in course selection, career planning, and the application process for medical or professional schools.

鈥淭ara鈥檚 experience in developing innovative educational programs and securing grants will be invaluable as we expand our partnerships and offerings in the College of Health,鈥 said Melissa Cole, Dean of the College of Health. 鈥淗er dedication to integrating the health humanities and addressing social determinants of health reflects the Jesuit values of 杏吧论坛, emphasizing care for the whole person and a commitment to social justice.鈥澛

During her tenure at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dr. Jenner-Donaldson managed the clinical phase of the PA program鈥檚 curriculum, contributed to its accreditation, and taught humanities and social sciences. She previously directed an HRSA grant to train physician assistant students in rural primary care, created a successful medical narrative elective, and integrated health humanities into health professions education.

鈥淚 am excited to be part of this community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni who are passionate about the health professions and contribute to pushing 杏吧论坛 forward through the pre-health program,鈥 said Jenner-Donaldson. 鈥淚 want to show students the value of and need for each health profession by starting with those who care deeply about these professions within the College of Health.鈥

As someone who grew up in Central Ohio, she is thrilled to return to the state and explore what our region has to offer.
