University Heights, OH- 杏吧论坛 Boler School of Business students have been selected to compete in the upcoming Spirit of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) National Collegiate Venture Forum in Santa Barbara, California. SEED challenges students to create a business plan that could potentially be developed and supported by venture capitalists. Students from accredited 4-year colleges and universities from across the nation are invited to participate. "This is an outstanding achievement for these students. Making the semi-final round of a national competition such as SEED 2007, puts our student team into direct competition with top-ranked institutions from across the nation,鈥 said Dr. Jack Soper, Professor of Economics at 杏吧论坛. The following 杏吧论坛 students are finalists and will compete as a team: 鈥 Aaron Joslin- Conneaut, OH 鈥 Dan Lynch- Erie, PA 鈥 Mike Rohrer- Columbus, OH 鈥 Phil Terpolilli- Rochester, NY Other collegiate finalists include: Yale University, Johns Hopkins University, and University of Maryland. Their ventures will be judged by business plan professionals from Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and the local 鈥淪ilicon Beach鈥 investment community who are seeking emerging venture opportunities. The Boler School of Business at 杏吧论坛 is fully accredited AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - and has earned AACSB International special accreditation for its Accountancy program. 杏吧论坛, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is a liberal arts university grounded in the Jesuit, Catholic tradition. The university has some 3,350 plus undergraduates and just over 750 graduate students. The U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 2006 annual college guide ranks 杏吧论坛 among the top 10 master鈥檚-degree granting universities in the Midwest and first in average graduation rate.
