High-impact, out-of-the-classroom learning experiences -- internships, study abroad, immersion trips, research -- are essential aspects of the honors experience at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳. The Honors Program is pleased to offer its students financial support for those endeavors.

Honors students in good standing may apply for support for the following experiences:

  • campus ministry immersion trips (up to $1000)
  • study abroad coordinated by the Center for Global Education (up to $1000)
  • study tour with a ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ course (up to $1000)
  • unpaid internship (up to $1500 in the summer, $1000 fall/spring)
  • travel for participating in a conference (up to $1000)

Eligibility:

  • must have completed two full semesters at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳;
  • the experience must be completed no later than the semester prior to graduation;
  • must be in good academic standing at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and the honors program;
  • students may receive support for one experience

Processes:

  • deadlines: Spring '25 Study Abroad and Study Tours: November 22, 2024 - 11:59 p.m. May/June 2025 Experiences: March 21, 2025 - 11:59 p.m.
  • for immersions, study tours, and study abroad, funds will be distributed via internal processes;
  • for internships, conference travel, and research, the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ budget office will reimburse students directly on a schedule to be determined.
